PRP explained like you're a very tired follicle

Your blood, spun down, concentrated, and put back where it's needed. Here's what PRP actually does — no magic, just biology with a good work ethic.

Imagine you're a follicle

You've been working non-stop for decades. You're tired. The neighborhood (your scalp) isn't getting the blood flow it used to, and the growth signals that used to show up every day have gone quiet. So you do what any exhausted worker does: you shrink your output, then you go on break. Permanently, if nobody intervenes.

PRP is the intervention. We draw a small amount of your blood, spin it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, and inject that golden, growth-factor-rich plasma back into the thinning areas. It's your own biology, just louder.

What it can and can't do

PRP is excellent at waking up follicles that are miniaturizing but still alive — the thinning, wispy stage. It's one of the best tools we have for early-to-moderate hair loss, and for supporting a transplant's results.

What it can't do is resurrect a follicle that's been gone for years. A smooth, shiny scalp is a retired scalp. That's why we push early action: the best time to start PRP was when you first noticed the shedding. The second-best time is now.

What a session feels like

About 45 minutes, start to finish. A blood draw, a spin, a series of small injections with numbing. Most patients describe it as 'mildly annoying, deeply worth it.' There's no downtime — people go back to work the same day and only tell their coworkers if they feel like bragging.

We typically recommend a series of sessions spaced a month apart, then maintenance. Think gym membership, not one-off stunt.

Reading about it won't regrow it.
